How submissions work
A select few, given real attention
We take on only a small number of books a year, because backing a book properly takes everything we have. Submissions open in short windows rather than year-round — so every manuscript is read with care, not lost in an endless pile.

A handful of titles a year, chosen because we believe in them.
Short windows
We open for defined reading periods, then close to read properly.
No fee to submit
Submitting costs nothing. It never will.
Our promise
Two distinct paths, and a wall between them
Being published by Fenn & Fable and working with the Writer’s Studio are entirely separate. We keep it that way on purpose.
Submitting is always free. If we are not able to take a book on, that is where it ends — we will never follow a submission with an offer of paid services, and no one who submits is ever added to a marketing list for the Studio. A decision on your manuscript is only ever about the book, never a doorway to a sale.
