Studio — FAQ

Fenn & Fable Studio

Questions & answers

Do you take my rights or a share of my royalties?

Never. You keep your copyright and 100% of your royalties. The Studio is a service you hire — your book stays entirely yours.

Do you publish my book for me?

The Studio prepares your book; you publish it, under your own name and accounts, however you like. (Curious about being published under the Fenn & Fable imprint one day? That's a separate path — just ask.)

I've never done this before. Is that okay?

More than okay — it's who we're for. We'll explain everything in plain language and move at your pace.

How much will my book cost?

Design and production have fixed prices; editing is quoted by word count. A first eBook can start from a couple of hundred dollars; a full print-and-eBook production runs to several hundred. We'll always confirm before anything begins.

How long does it take?

It depends on the service and the schedule, but we'll agree a clear timeline up front — and keep to it.

What genres do you work in?

Our heart is atmospheric fiction — fantasy, crime, noir and historical — but we're happy to talk about any story with heart and edge.

How many revisions do I get?

Each service includes a set number of rounds (usually two), so you're never nickel-and-dimed for getting it right. Extra rounds can be added if you'd like them.

What if I need to cancel?

We'll always be fair. Our terms explain deposits and cancellations in plain English — no fine-print surprises.

What files will I receive?

Print-ready and retailer-ready files for whatever you've commissioned — and they're yours to keep once the final invoice is paid.

For this story and the next.
