Tabitha Hale-Thorne

Author of the Isobel Kerr Novels

About

The author

Tabitha Hale-Thorne writes from London, usually with a dog at her feet. She’s drawn to the overlooked side of history — not the kings and queens, but the people behind the scenes: the midwives, servants and quiet troublemakers who kept the great and the doomed alive, and were rarely thanked for it.

She chose Fenn & Fable as her publishing house for exactly what it is — small, fiercely focused on independent authors, and in love with the story above all else.

The Book

An Heir Most Inconvenient

The Isobel Kerr Novels · Book One

His birth was quiet. The panic was not. In the winter of 1571, a sharp-tongued midwife delivers a child who, on paper, outranks the queen — and must keep him hidden and alive through sixteen dangerous years. A wickedly funny Tudor tale of the people history forgot to thank.
