About

The author

Originally from the UK and now writing from Australia, Lena Fenn has been telling stories since she was a teenager — filling notebooks long before she imagined anyone else would read them.

She is the co-founder of Fenn & Fable — the independent book house she built for big-hearted, dark-edged stories, and where she now publishes her own work and helps new voices into print.

She writes big, immersive epic fantasy: whole invented worlds you can disappear into, with something aching and deeply human at their heart. A Map of Vanished Things is her first book — a single story that quietly grew into a sweeping trilogy.

The Books

The Waking Lands

A world where the ground itself slowly wanders, so no one can ever return to exactly where they were born — and a girl brave enough to cross it.

  • Book One · A Map of Vanished Things — out now
  • Book Two · A Country of Held Breath — coming soon
  • Book Three · A Home of Every Distance — coming soon

The World

Step into the Waking Lands

A world that will not hold still — two shores and one sea, the Reckoners who feel the land move, and the Vaeli, who learned at great cost how to carry a home inside you.

Explore the shifting geography, its orders and its maps, and the rules that keep the ground from staying still.
